In late 2009, McClurg Homes purchased a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house on Lambert Lane. The house came with a detached garage and great pond view in the backyard. However, the home was in need of major renovations. It had been inhabited by mold in the basement and several rooms upstairs. We were up to the task of taking on this tumultuous project, and I think you'll agree the results are quite impressive!

From Brown and Outdated To New In Blue
- The Original House
- Our Renovations
As you can see in these photos, the house originally had wood paneling and small windows on the exterior. It was also in need of a new roof. McClurg Homes stepped in and added new siding, shingles, windows, shutters, and a great blue front door. In addition, you'll see the great new gable and enlarged concrete porch add quite a bit of style to the curb appeal of this house.
The Detached Garage
When we purchased this home, we were so excited to find a 2-car detached garage included with the home. However, we also new this building too would need quite the upgrade. New siding, a coat of paint on the garage door, and a new roof did a world of wonder. In addition, we poured a great new driveway pad that can also double as a back patio coming out off the new sliding door added to the rear of the house.
Front Sitting Room
New windows, crown molding, carpet, and paint completely transformed this front room.
Front Hall Bathroom
Who knew removing the wallpaper and adding a new toilet and vanity could completely modernize this once drab bathroom??
Master Bedroom
New carpet, paint, and a light fixture made a big improvement to the master bedroom, but there were 2 other big changes that really added value. Instead of shelves mounted on the wall, we added a large closet to the master suite as seen in the photo. In addition, we reconfigured the overall layout of the house to transform the second bathroom in this house into a master suite. What a great selling feature!!
Kitchen
It's unbelieveable what a coat of paint and new floors can accomplish!! The original cabinets were still in good condition, so we added new hardware and countertops to really make a fresh statement. They say the kitchen sells a house, and this one sure helped to make that come true!
Family Room
This room addition was originally lacking a purpose in the house. However, we added a window on the side of the house and a sliding door off the back to create a great new family room with a wonderful view of the pond out back. Who needs a TV in the family room when you have such great views!
